All our products are “Made in Germany” at Dethleffs!

Did you know that the caravan was invented in the Allgäu? In the heart of the picturesque Alpine foothills, between the mountains and Lake Constance, Arist Dethleffs constructed Germany’s first “camper car” for his family in 1931. To this day, the overwhelming majority of our models are manufactured in Isny. The rest are produced at one of our state-of-the-art partner factories in Germany.

Vehicle conversions by Dethleffs

We don’t just develop and manufacture Dethleffs motorhomes and caravans at our “Isny im Allgäu” location. Camping conversions for vans and urban vehicles have also been produced here with professionalism and the finest craftsmanship for over 17 years. At present, over 7,000 urban campers and camper vans roll off our production line each year under the Pössl and Crosscamp brands, including Dethleffs’ own models since summer 2021.
